Urgent Whatcott prayer request for Mrs. Whatcott

Joni and Bill

Dear Friends,

I just got news that my beloved wife of 18 months has a tumor in her stomach. The doctor found it during a routine physical and Joni will now be going to Manila to see a specialist on December 18th.

To make matters worse, I saw my immigration lawyer today and it looks like my immigration petition has to be temporarily put on hold as I wound up out of work last month and have spent the last month doing pro-life work and am enrolled in some courses for January. One must be gainfully employed to petition a spouse to Canada and that will not be my case until I am done my courses in January and hopefully have my CMHC situation settled. Once I find another job, most likely in February, Joni will still be one year away from coming to Canada.

Given that we have hardly had any quality time together, and that we have both been patiently waiting the immigration thing out, I would ask that my prayer supporters petition God for a divine healing and that the lump be benign, so that Joni remains in good health, so her and I can enjoy some years together.

Joni is quite upset, but also realizes that her life (like all of our lives) is in the hands of God. Unfortunately with 10,000 kilometres between us and my life circumstance being what it is, the only support I can really be is prayer support and telephone support, but on the other hand God is real and praying to Him will accomplish great things when one truly trusts in him.

So with that, this prayer request goes out and we will wait and see how it is answered......

In Christ's Service

Here is a very nice prayer from one of my friends..... blessyou

"Father of All, I pray You give comfort and peace; strength and courage to Bill and Joni.
"I pray for Joni to find healing for her health, including any damage associated with this tumor.
"I thank You and praise You for the lives of these people, their hard work, and especially their love and devotion to You.
"We cannot earn merit or obligate You in any way, except to say that diseases, tumors, all the powers of nature, even those powers of hell, are incompetent to accomplish their ends against whatever You have determined. And so in the mighty name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, we lift Joni up to you and request she be made whole. Allow her to accomplish all the good works You desired for her, from the foundations of the world.
"And then Lord God, I pray You will grant her many years of life so that her later years are of greater gain to You than all the former years have been.
"

I am praying for you both in these trials.
Psa. 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me
Isa. 14:3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
2 Cor 2:4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

Dear friends:

Here is the result of my tests from the doctor. I wish to thank everyone who prayed for me because the tumors are benign but I'll still need your prayers for a successful operation which will be on the 26th (my birthday) of December. My doctor advised that I undergo a total hysterectomy as the tumors are already big (right ovary 18.5 x14.5 x18.4 cm/left ovary 12.1 x12.0 x8.2 cm).

I guess the surgery will require a six day hospital stay and will cost us 150,000 pesos, I think somewhere close to $3700 Cdn dollars.

If there are any Canadian or American readers of our site who would like to help us with this hospital bill support can be sent to

I will be trying to get to Philippines to be some support to my wife in January once my EMR course in finished.
