Ronan Oger (The lamestream media, the United Church of Canada, the Anglican Church, and the Canadian government all pander to Ronan's gender confusion and call him by his fantasy name "Morgane") speaking at a so-called "anti-transphobia" rally, held today at Vancouver's Emory Barnes Park in response to the 1500 truthful flyers that were distributed by Whatcott during Operation Biblical Shock & Awe last week admonishing Ronan and the NDP that so-called transgenderism and homosexuality were sins that displease God. To see the flyer that sparked the so-called "anti-transphobia" rally and the open letter from the United Church condemning Operation Biblical Shock & Awe and affirming Ronan's gender confusion and all manner of sexual deviance go here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=10624

An Open Letter and Call to Action in Response to Bill Whatcott’s Flyer against Vancouver-False Creek Candidate Morgane Oger

Dear Residents of Vancouver-False Creek, the Greater
Vancouver Area, and Members of the LGTBQI Community:

We write this letter in opposition to the hurtful and oppressive flyer that Vancouver resident Bill Whatcott recently wrote and distributed regarding the political candidacy of Ms. Morgane Oger for Vancouver - False Creek.

Publicly distributing written materials that spread false information in order to publicly shame and silence an accomplished woman who is engaged in brave and bold civic leadership is not consistent with the Christian call to discipleship as we understand it. Further, the views of Mr. Whatcott are inconsistent with 21st century scientific understandings of biological sex, sexual orientation and gender. We understand that sexual orientation and gender (which are not the same thing) each exist across a spectrum and/or may be something with which an individual can’t identify at all.

There are many Christians whose faith puts love of neighbour, right relationships with each other and with the earth, and faith in a loving God at the heart of our Christian witness. These beliefs, and the theological traditions that express our faith, have led us to a place where our communities recognize and celebrate all transgender and other LGTBQI people as fully beloved children of God.

As ordained clergy working for First United Church Community Ministry Society and St. Andrew’s Wesley United Church (United Church of Canada), and Christ Church Cathedral (Anglican Church of Canada), we wish to speak out publicly in support of any member of the LGBTQI community who wishes to run for public office and offer their gifts in service of the greater good. Moreover, we wish to condemn the hateful actions of Mr. Whatcott, not only against Ms. Oger and her campaign, but also against those in the transgender community. It is a documented fact that transgender people are among the most marginalized in society; more likely to suffer physical, verbal, sexual, mental and spiritual assault, more likely to be discriminated against, excluded in public and private spaces, experience unemployment, stigma, homelessness, and lack of access to identification and/or resources.

As Christians, we are committed to being welcoming and in opposition to discrimination against any person on any basis, and affirm that all human beings are made in the image of God regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity (adapted from the United Church of Canada). We call on like-minded Christians, and persons of faith or no faith, to also publicly condemn the actions and words of Mr. Whatcott as unacceptable. As The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us: “In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

Yours in Christ,

The Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne, Executive Director, First United - Vancouver Downtown Eastside
The Rev. Jim Hatherly, Director of Community Ministry, First United - Vancouver Downtown Eastside
The Very Rev. Dr. Gary Paterson, Lead Minister, St. Andrew's-Wesley United Church (41st Moderator of the United Church of Canada)
Dean Peter Elliott, Dean & Rector, Christ Church Cathedral Vancouver

Kevin Zakresky's profile picture on Facebook. Kevin for a time had a Facebook post up calling on his friends to phone and text harrassing messages to me. Kevin also wrote the nasty e-mail below. Kevin also happens to be the founder-director of the Sea to Sky Symphony Orchestra and one of the protesters at the "anti-transphobia" rally that was held today at the Emory Barnes Park.

Hey Bill,

The LGBTQ community isn't going anywhere. Your hateful flier is only encouraging people to get out and support queer candidates. It might even help Morgane win the election!

Now crawl back under your rock, you worthless diseased insect.

Kindly,
Kevin Zakresky
