CHP calls on Senate to block NDP 'greenhouse gas' bill
& establish a scientific review panel on climate hysteria

ANCASTER, ON, June 6, 2008 (CHP) — The Christian Heritage Party, Canada's
sixth-largest federal political party, today called on the Senate to block NDP
leader Jack Layton's private member's bill on so-called "greenhouse gas"
emissions.

"The bill may be 'politically correct', but it's a factually flawed," said CHP
leader Ron Gray, speaking at a national board meeting of the CHP in
Ancaster, Ontario.

Gray said Mr. Layton's private member's bill, passed by the House of Commons
yesterday, is based on outdated information and the NDP's anti-business
bias—"both bad foundations for public policy."

"Mr. Layton has obviously missed—or deliberately ignored—the recent news that
31,800 scientists have signed a document that calls 'global warming' a hoax,"
Gray said. "Furthermore, he seems to think that carbon dioxide and water vapour
are 'pollutants', when in fact both are beneficial to agriculture and life on
earth.

"In addition, the historical record taken from tree rings and ice cores shows
that CO2 follows increases in global temperature, it doesn't cause them.

"While it's true that sea ice in the Arctic is diminishing, land ice in the
Antarctic is increasing. And 3,000 sensing buoys released into the world's
oceans two years ago have shown a slight decrease in surface water
temperatures.

"So where's the problem?"

Gray said the NDP bill gives the Senate an opportunity to demonstrate the
validity of the upper chamber as a place of sober second thought.

"This draconian, ill-informed bill—demanding that the government drastically
curtail GHG emissions in Canada—would cripple many industries, including the
automotive industry, which is already reeling from the impact of soaring gas
prices," Gray said. "This would be a further blow to many union workers who
have in the past supported the NDP.

"I don't think they'll support Mr. Layton on this."

The CHP leader said rapid passage of the NDP leader's bill gives the Senate an
opportunity to bring real science to the question by establishing a special
review panel to examine the impact of global warming hysteria, and to replace
panic with factual information.

"The CHP endorses the position of Bjorn Lomborg, the Danish scientist who says
in his book, Cool It, that the money that is wasted by Kyoto-type treaties, and
lost by the damage done to Western industry, could better be used to provide
clean drinking water in the Third World, and to clean up real pollution, such
as particulate matter, sulphur dioxide and nitrous oxide, and the thousands of
inadequately-tested new chemical released into the environment every year,"
Gray said.

How do you know Mr. Lomborg is a sodomite?

Even if he is, why would it be unbecoming of the CHP to agree with him, if he is a reputable scientist, voicing principled and well thought out opposition to livelihood destroying Kyoto hysteria?

Ok read up on him....

Don't like him much...

He does appear to have credentials to speak on global warming even if his degree is in economics and political science.

He has done extensive research in the area and has expertise, which even the Danish government and scientific journals recognize.

Still being homosexual and vegetarian disqualifies him from being a reputable academic in my world........ :vomit21:
